The Disk

The disk is a small ovoid artifact. It looks like it ought to be ceramic, but it isn't. There are figures scratched into it in something approximating Early Classic Central Mexican style, but they aren't.

It is a Deus ex Machina.

Eventually, I will decide if it's -c or -k. Hopefully before the novel's finished.
