Jaime Awe

Jaime Awe is a real person. He is the first Director of the Institute of Archaeology of Belize, which means that he controls all anthropological activities in the country. He is also the director of the (real) Belize Valley Archaeological Project, under which Jack's (fake) excavation is operated.

And yes, his characterization in the novel is based on his actual personality, because he was the administrator of my first dig.

Hopefully, he won't sue me.
